Just about half of the Sombrero Country Club membership maintains memberships with country clubs elsewhere, with the Keys as their seasonal residence. Most of the Club members who are full-time residents of the Keys initiated their membership at Sombrero well before moving here, a good strategy for those who don’t want to assume the real risk of the membership being closed when they choose to make a permanent move. The membership of Sombrero Country Club will be strictly limited to fewer than 300 members to assure the permanent continued quality of membership life.
